About Ms. Bowden
I am excited to begin my seventh year as an English teacher at Washington High School.

I grew up in San Diego County, and I attended college in the northern California town of Chico. In 2000, I graduated with Bachelors degrees in Journalism and Social Science. After graduation, I began my career as a newspaper journalist, working as a copy editor and page designer.

This September marks the 12th anniversary of my move from the Golden State of California to the Mountain State of West Virginia.

In 2009, I left the field of journalism and became a substitute teacher. The following year, I returned to school, and received my Masters in Teaching from Frostburg State University in 2011.

I am currently serving as Color Guard sponsor, Faculty Senate vice president, and school curriculum team member.
